The research considered is quite broad.

1. Professor in Applied Geoscience

Applications are welcomed from candidates researching into applied geoscience, whose relevant areas of expertise include but are not limited to hydrogeology, groundwater geochemistry, fracking, and geothermal energy.


2. Lecturer in Subsurface Fluid Flow / Geoenvironmental Engineering / Hydrogeology

Applications are welcomed from candidates researching into Geoenvironmental Engineering / Hydrogeology / Subsurface Fluid Flow, related or complementary to existing Exeter (CSM) strengths.


3. Lecturer in Palaeontology / Palaeobiology / Biogeochemistry

Applications are welcomed from candidates researching into Palaeontology / Palaeobiology / Biogeochemistry and who will contribute to extending the research profile of these specialized areas, and Geology, at the Camborne School of Mines.


4. Lecturer in Sustainable Mining

Applications are welcomed from candidates researching into Mining related disciplines or Environmental Engineering and Sustainability related to the extractive industries.


5. Lecturer in Mining Engineering – Automated and Remote

Applications are welcomed from candidates researching into areas related or complementary to robotics, sensing technology, automated mining operations, small-scale mining, equipment miniaturisation, augmented reality, and underground communication.
