*Opportunity:* *Center for Aerosol Impacts on Climate and the
Environment (*CAICE)
Summer Undergraduate Research Program

*Opportunity Description:* This summer research program for
undergraduates provides
an opportunity to conduct exciting hands-on scientific research 8-10 week
program with mentoring from top CAICE faculty, post-doctoral and graduate
students in the CAICE network. Participants will present their research
results and conclusions to faculty and students at the end of the program,
will receive preparation for graduate school, and will attend field trips
and symposiums. (Activities may vary by lab placement site.) Placements are
available to conduct research at CAICE institutions across the U.S. (with
dates varying by placement site). Participants will receive a minimum
stipend of $4000, reimbursement for out of town travel costs (up to $500),
plus housing for full program duration.

*Disciplines:* Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental
Engineering, Environmental Systems

*Eligibility: Citizenship in the United States or Puerto Rico. Applications
open to undergraduates with an interest in chemistry who would like to
participate in cutting edge CAICE research. Women, students from
underrepresented groups, and military veterans are strongly encouraged to
apply. Priority will be given to current 2nd and 3rd year undergraduates.*
