I am looking for a postdoc to work on the Landlab project (http://landlab.github.io/#/ ). Landlab is an open source Python toolkit for modeling earth surface processes. The postdoc would be involved in contributing code to the toolkit and using the toolkit to build models to explore scientific questions that are of interest to the postdoc. The postdoc would also be involved with outreach including running clinics on Landlab for new users, working with visiting scientists, and writing user manuals and creating other tools (e.g. YouTube videos, tutorials, etc.) for new users.

The primary Landlab development team is at the University of Colorado, Boulder, The University of Washington, and Tulane University. The postdoc will be based at Tulane University in New Orleans but will be expected to work with the whole team.

Previous coding experience is necessary; coding experience with Python is preferred. A PhD at the time of hire is required. Start date is negotiable, but preferably by 1 October 2016.

Please contact me for more information. Submit a cover letter and CV here<https://apply.interfolio.com/35579>, preferably by 27 June 2016.
