The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to conduct research aimed at improving our understanding of the interactions among earth's climate, agricultural crops and land use and land cover changes (LULCC).

We seek candidate with a Ph.D. in earth system science, climate science, or another related field in the sciences or engineering with a working knowledge of an earth system model, crop growth model, LULCC model or similar complex models. A working experience in FORTRAN is must. Demonstrated ability to produce quality research output, good oral and verbal communication skills and an interest in working with researchers from other environmental sciences will be among the selection criteria.

The initial term will be for two years with the strong potential for renewal based on performance and available funding.
