The Department of Geography and Geology at Eastern Michigan University invites
applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant
professor level with specialization in 1) hydrogeology, and 2) surficial
geologic processes effective September 2017.

*Hydrogeology*. The candidate will be expected to be committed to excellence
in teaching and to conduct an active research program in hydrogeology.
Instruction responsibilities include teaching upper-level undergraduate
courses in hydrology and hydrogeology, as well as introductory-level
courses in geology, earth science, and environmental science, and directing
undergraduate research projects.

*Surficial Geologic Processes*. The candidate will be expected to be committed
to excellence in teaching and to conduct an active research program in
surficial geologic processes. Instruction responsibilities include teaching
upper-level undergraduate courses in geomorphology and glacial/Quaternary
geology, as well as introductory-level courses in geology, earth science,
and environmental science, and directing undergraduate research projects.

A Ph.D. in geology or related discipline at the time of appointment is
required.
