*COMMUNICATIONS INTERN*

The Communications Intern will research and write content for the 
Foundation's website and social media channels; compile press lists and 
media clips; assist with planning Foundation events; and attend in-house 
briefings, presentations, and meetings on a range of issues (often with 
outside speakers) to learn more about the Foundation and key areas of 
grantmaking. The intern should possess strong written and oral 
communication skills, outstanding organizational abilities, and an 
interest in professional communications and the work of the 
philanthropic sector.
Candidates should submit a cover letter explaining their interest and 
proposed schedule (indicating start and end dates, as well as hours and 
days of the week during that period totaling 20 hours per week), a 
resume, and two writing samples of no longer than two pages each to Andy 
Solomon, Managing Director, Communications atcommunications at macfound.org 
<mailto:communications at macfound.org>. A minimum 10-week commitment is 
required; 12-week internships are preferred. Earlier start dates are 
strongly preferred.  Application materials should be submitted no later 
than Friday, December 14, 2016.
This internship is open to undergraduates who have completed freshman year.

Given the large number of candidates, we cannot respond to telephone
