Dear Colleagues,

I have a position open for a Ph.D. student to work in the Organic and Isotope Biogeochemistry<http://aarondiefendorf.weebly.com> group at the University of Cincinnati. As part of this position, research would focus on plant carbon isotope fractionation and plant biomarkers (leaf waxes, terpenoids) in Earth's past as part of an NSF funded grant. This position could begin as early as January 2017. Student support is included for two years on the NSF grant and additional support would be available after this period through the department or other grants (TA or RA). Students with a background in stable isotopes, geochemistry, and/or plant ecology or biology are especially encouraged to apply. For more information about this project, the Geology Department<http://www.artsci.uc.edu/departments/geology/>, Cincinnati, etc., please contact me by email (aaron.diefendorf at uc.edu<mailto:aaron.diefendorf at uc.edu>) and include a CV if possible.

Thanks,
Aaron
