Established in 2007, with major funding to date from U.S. Geological Survey
and the National Science Foundation, the USA National Phenology Network
(USA-NPN) was created to collect, synthesize and apply high-quality
phenological data and information to address fundamental science and
societal needs. Products, tools and information produced by the Network are
designed to be widely used for research, and to facilitate decision-making
relative to ecosystem services and climate change adaptation for natural
resource management, agricultural systems, and human well-being. The
Network is comprised of scientists, resource managers, educators, and
volunteer observers =E2=80=93 supported by a National Coordinating Office =
=E2=80=93 who
share a common goal of collecting and utilizing national-scale phenological
