Dear colleagues,

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is recruiting a postdoctoral scientist to work on projects related to modeling biogeochemical processes in aquatic systems (rivers, lakes and wetlands) at the regional scale. The selected candidate will work with a team of land surface and climate modelers on 1) improving understanding of the role of aquatic biogeochemical processes in land-atmosphere interactions and fate of subsurface pollutants under climate and human-induced changes and 2) developing parameterizations of terrestrial and riverine biogeochemical processes for Earth system models. The position is for two years and renewable contingent upon performance. A Ph.D. in Hydrology, Geoscience, Atmospheric Science, or related subjects is required. Candidates with experience in analysis and modeling of coupled hydrological and biogeochemical processes and familiarity with high performance computing are preferred. Applications need to include

* Cover letter describing the applicant’s research experience and interests.
* Curriculum vitae with a list of publications in refereed journals.
* Names and addresses of three references.
