Hello All,
I have a position available for a MS student to work on a project analyzing an ice core from Washington state to reconstruct black carbon deposition since ~1750 AD. The student will be involved in ice core processing, black carbon analyses, and interpretation of results, and ideally would be available to start work this summer. There is also the potential for the student to be involved in related field work in the North Cascades. Please pass this along to any individuals who may be interested, and they can get in touch with me directly. Interested students would need to apply to the Department of Geological Sciences by February 1, 2013.
Thanks,
Susan
