Application Systems Analyst/Developer, Washington State University, Pullman, WA
This full-time Administrative Professional position will provide information technology support and expertise to research activities on the Aeolus high-performance computing (HPC) cluster within the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture.  The primary function of this position is to provide expert level consultation regarding specialized information technology to support use of the HPC cluster and, thus, support the growth of the cluster and its user base. Additionally, this position will assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the HPC cluster, including but not limited to installing and maintaining applications, training new users, and overseeing data archival. This position may also serve as a back-up systems administrator as needed.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
This position requires expert knowledge of Linux, command line interfaces, Fortran, C or C++, and compilers such as gcc, PGI and Intel.  Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred, particularly at WSU.
