The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of 
Houston invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the 
Assistant Professor level in the field of Atmospheric Chemistry and/or 
Climate.

The atmospheric science group at UH operates an air quality network 
around Houston with continuous year round measurements. They also 
operate a well-equipped state-of-the-art mobile laboratory to study 
emissions, photochemistry, and greenhouse gases. The group also conducts 
research using satellite-based information and modeling on regional and 
global scales.

Candidates must have completed their PhD at the time of appointment. 
Successful candidates will be expected to build a vigorous externally 
funded research program and should be able to demonstrate productivity 
via peer-reviewed publications. Candidates will also be expected to 
teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and mentor MS and 
PhD students. Candidate evaluation will begin on December 1, 2015 and 
continue until the position is filled.
