If you will be at the AGU Fall Meeting or located in the Bay Area, take
advantage of these two professional development workshops that the Earth
Science Women’s Network (ESWN) (your hosts for this jobs list) is running
at the upcoming American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in 2015
through a partnership with AGU Education. Both are FREE.

*Check here for recent updates and a list of invited panelists for these
two events: http://eswnonline.org/eswn-workshops-at-agu-2015/

Navigating the NSF System

*Wednesday, December 16, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM*

*San Francisco Marriott Marquis – Golden Gate A*

This workshop is designed to provide information for creating effective
submissions to NSF, learning more about new initiatives as well as early
career specific options, and connecting directly with NSF program officers.

Opportunities Beyond Academia

*San Francisco Marriott Marquis – Golden Gate A*

*Wednesday, December 16, 4:15 – 6:15 PM*

A panel of scientists with experience outside of academia will share their
“lessons learned” and answer your questions about how to find and apply for
jobs in policy, federal research labs, state agencies, NGOs, industry, and
private enterprise. Geared towards graduate students and post-docs who are
considering options outside of academia, as well as faculty who are
interested; all are invited.

ESWN acknowledges support from the American Geophysical Union, Elsevier,
the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the California Academy of
Sciences and Nature Geoscience for our events in San Francisco surrounding
the Fall Meeting.
