The Department of Earth, Environmental, and Geographical Sciences at
Northern Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor of Physical Geography to begin in August, 2015. The
successful candidate will be able to teach courses such as Physical
Geography, Soils, Introduction to Maps, Introduction to Geographic Research,
and Human Impact on the Environment; and other courses that complement the
Department's curriculum.

 

Required minimum qualifications: Ph.D. (granted by August, 2015) with
academic training in Geography or a closely related field; and an active
scholarly agenda focused on the physical environment. Scholarship related to
human impact on the physical environment is desirable.

 

Additional desirable qualifications: Demonstrated strong commitment and
ability to provide excellent undergraduate instruction and advising; and
