We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated educator to teach in an 
innovative project-oriented, field-based undergraduate geology 
curriculum. Candidates with expertise in all areas of Geology will be 
considered with particular attention given to applicants with expertise 
in introductory geology and sedimentary geology systems. Candidates with 
classroom experience related to project based and field based learning 
will be strongly considered. TheLSSUGeology Department has an 
outstanding record of student-faculty research and the successful 
candidate will be encouraged to develop and maintain an active research 
program that includes undergraduate students. The successful candidate 
must have a Ph.D. orABDin geology, geoscience education, or a closely 
related field, with the background and ability to teach physical 
geology, historical geology, and advanced undergraduate courses in 
carbonate systems and clastic systems and a willingness to develop other 
courses as needed. It would be a plus if the candidate can assist with 
the teaching of field geology or geochemistry orGISor environmental 
geology. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop and 
maintain an active research program that includes undergraduate students.
