The Ecosystem Workforce Program in the Institute for a Sustainable
Environment at the University of Oregon is looking to fill a
grant-contingent, non-tenure track faculty research assistant, who can
serve as a quantitative data analyst and cartographer on a variety of
natural resource social science and economics projects. For more

This position will support the work of other research faculty by providing
data management, data analysis, map-making, graphic illustrations, as
necessary, and written data summaries. Essential skills include programing
in R or use of other statistical software packages such as SAS or SPSS,
ability to use Excel for data analysis and development of decision-support
tools, and experience with Access. In addition, successful applicants will
have skills in spatial analysis and the use of ArcGIS for map-making, with
preference given to applicants with experience in finishing maps in Adobe
Illustrator. This position requires the ability to work on multiple
projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team environment, and the ability
to meet deadlines. We prefer someone with a master=E2=80=99s degree in a fi=
eld
related to natural resource management. We prefer someone who can start Aug=
ust
1, 2014 or sooner; but this is somewhat negotiable.
