Minimum Requirements: 	. Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific 
discipline (e.g. atmospheric science, meteorology, engineering, 
environmental science, or other related field)
. Minimum six years of relevant air quality permitting experience
. Master's degree in relevant discipline can substitute for up to two 
years of work experience
. Current permitting experience in one of the following states: Arizona, 
Colorado, New Mexico, Utah or Wyoming
. Relevant permitting experience includes: oil and gas, power 
generation, mining, and transportation projects
. Experience in working with local and federal agencies
. Working knowledge of technical aspects of air quality analyses 
(emission inventory development including HAPs and GHG, emissions 
control technologies, compliance and regulatory review). Experience must 
include New Source Review (NSR) requirements
. Experience with GHG permitting and compliance requirements
. Understanding of air quality issues and services including Title V, 
minor source, and PSD permitting
. Working knowledge of source testing requirements and methods
. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a 
pre-employment substance abuse test
Job Description: 	We are hiring talented individuals who are passionate

This position will be part of the Air Quality Team in the Environmental 
Department in Denver, CO. The team, which is responsible for a wide 
range of air-related work, consists of team members ranging in 
experience from 2 to over 30 years of experience with plans to grow in 
numbers and talent. The Air Quality Specialist will have an established 
career in Air Permitting and Compliance. The incumbent can look forward 
to projects including air emission permitting and compliance, New Source 
Review analysis, emission calculations and reporting.

Incumbent responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
. Conduct / direct air dispersion modeling for PSD projects and toxic 
emissions
. Conduct / direct annual emissions inventories
. Lead the preparation of air emission permit applications
. Determine sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air 
utilizing knowledge of chemistry, meteorology, engineering principles 
and applied technologies
. Inspect industrial facilities and programs to evaluate operational 
effectiveness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
. Apply principles of engineering to solve environmental problems
. Apply knowledge of applicable health and safety requirements and 
environmental concerns
