  Job Description/Duties:

Entry-level position to assist with the following tasks: Assist with
computer modeling of air pollution. Convert emissions inventory data for
input to air quality models, perform emissions modeling to develop
model-ready emissions for air quality models, modify and/or develop scripts
needed for such modeling, assist with documenting results by preparing
summary plots and tables, conduct spatial analyses using GIS and data
visualization tools, perform quality assurance (QA).

Educational Requirements:

 BS or MS in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical) or
science required.

Years’ Experience Required: 0-2 years

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Proficient in Linux/Unix commands, understanding of structured programming
(using shell scripting, Perl or Python), advanced EXCEL skills. Knowledge
of emissions inventories and air pollution science. Attention to detail and
ability to perform careful quality assurance (QA). The following skills are
a plus: Database programming (SQL, Access) and scientific programming
(FORTRAN, C, C++).
