Research Fellow in Atmospheric Chemistry, University of Birmingham*

The Research Fellow will contribute to field and laboratory studies of 
atmospheric chemical processes, in particular :

-Measurement of atmospheric ozone production rates, and the development 
of new instrumentation to perform in-situ measurements of chemical ozone 
formation

-Understanding the sources and distribution of HONO in the boundary layer

The post will be based in Birmingham, and will combine laboratory work 
(instrument development and testing) with field measurements in the UK 
and overseas.  The applicant will work alongside existing members of the 
research group (PDRAs, PhD students).

The Research Fellow will also be involved with dissemination of project 
results through peer-reviewed journal publications and presentations at 
international conferences, and will be expected to assist in the 
supervision of PhD and MSc students in related areas.  The post will 
include substantial linkages with project partners at other UK
