The IASS seeks to fill one of the positions of* Director *at the earliest
possible opportunity.

We are looking for an outstanding personality who has had a long-term
involvement in sustainability governance and in successfully shaping
societal transformation processes at national and international levels. The
ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a science-based policy
advisor or as a policy maker, along with profound knowledge of national and
international issues of sustainability policy and the related discourses
(science-policy interface). A proven track record is expected in
communicating with stakeholders from science, policy, industry and civil
society. Central aspects of the expected profile include a background in
academic research, a vision for a forward-looking research programme in the
areas of sustainability and transformation, knowledge of transdisciplinary
research methods, and experience in guiding young researchers.
