The Environmental Studies Program at Skidmore College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Associate or Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2015. We seek candidates who are firmly committed to undergraduate education, and who will engage undergraduates in a rigorous research program. Areas of interest could include water resources, urban ecology, soil science, landscape architecture, or sustainable systems, and expertise in field methods is required and geographic information systems is desirable. We are also seeking leadership for the science track of our curriculum and our overall program with this hire. We are particularly interested in attracting academically and culturally diverse candidates, especially those who can contribute to the growing diversity and excellence of the community through their teaching, scholarship, and service. Enthusiasm for advising, teaching, and mentoring a diverse population of students is essential.
Qualified candidates should have completed their Ph.D. prior to Fall 2015.
