The Department of Geography at Nipissing University invites applications
for a 10-month limited term position (LTA 1) at the rank of Assistant
Professor beginning August 1, 2014.

Nipissing University offers a very competitive salary and benefits. The
Department of Geography is establishing a strong reputation in research
with several members holding externally funded grants. For information

Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Geography; however ABD candidates
will be considered as well. The successful candidate will be expected to
teach Introduction to Physical Geography 1017 (both terms), Climatology
2107 and three courses from the following list of undergraduate courses:

Field Techniques in Geography 3016

Selected Regions of North America 3407

Earth Resources 3436

Selected Topics 3906

Lake and Wetland Environments 4127

Applied Climatology 4136

Paleoclimatology & Climate Change 4137

Topics in Physical Geography 4906

Review of applications will begin May 1st, 2014 and will continue until the

feel confident in teaching; and, arrange to have three letters of
