TEMPORARY LECTURER MINERALOGIST/PETROLOGIST, DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGY, BAYLOR UNIVERSITY

The Department of Geology at Baylor University invites applications for a Temporary Lecturer in Mineralogy and Petrology for the 2014-2015 academic year. Applicants with a Ph.D. in geology at the time of appointment are preferred; however, current Ph.D. students nearing completion of the Ph.D. will also be considered. The Department currently consists of 16 geoscientists (http://www.baylor.edu/Geology/).

Teaching: We seek an individual with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, and require that he/she teach Mineralogy during the fall 2014 semester and Petrology during the spring 2015 semester. In addition, the individual may also have the option to teach one or two freshman-level introductory classes during both the fall and spring semesters.
