The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to study the influence of atmospheric conditions on the infectivity of the influenza virus in bioaerosols. The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate appropriate background in environmental engineering, atmospheric chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Experience in aerosol generation and characterization is desirable. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year with an option for renewal for up to five years total.
