Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Resources Engineering

The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in Syracuse, NY, invites applications for an academic-year, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Resources Engineering specializing in remote sensing.

The Department of Environmental Resources Engineering (ERE) invites applicants with remote sensing expertise and academic training in any related engineering discipline to apply to this tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek applicants that can develop and support cross-cutting, novel, and emerging research scholarship in remote sensing theory and applications to support our graduate program in geospatial information science and engineering. Research focus areas could include:  climate change; atmospheric, oceanic, or polar remote sensing; and land cover land use dynamics. Applicants must possess knowledge and ability to teach courses in support of the ABET-accredited undergraduate program in Environmental Resources Engineering. Teaching responsibilities include a total of three courses and one seminar annually in ERE. Service responsibilities include supporting University, College, Department and the applicant's profession.

For optimal consideration, completed application materials must be received by December 5, 2013. This position will remain open until filled with an anticipated start date of August 2014.
