Humboldt State University's Geography Department invites applications
for a temporary, 10-month, non-tenure track, lecture appointment to
begin August 2013.

Duties: Teach a 12-credit load each semester in physical geography
that includes courses of introductory physical geography, physical
geography lab, and upper division physical geography courses.

Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in geography, environmental
studies/science, or related field from an accredited university by the
time of employment; ability to teach introduction to physical
geography and advanced physical geography courses.

Desired Qualifications: Ability to teach in more than one of the
following courses: Climatology, Biogeography, Coastal or Marine
Geography, and other upper-division courses in the applicant's areas
of expertise are possible. Experience teaching in a multi-cultural
setting and a doctoral degree in geography or a closely related field
is desirable.
