The Department of Earth and Environmental Science is entering a period
of growth with plans to implement a Ph.D. To move toward that goal, the
department seeks to fill two tenure-track faculty positions to begin in

position. Exceptional candidates holding a Ph.D. are encouraged to apply
at any level (assistant, associate, or full professor).

Possible areas of expertise for the ECOHYDROLOGY position include
coupled hydrological and ecological processes involving water, energy,
carbon, sediment, and nutrient fluxes, as well as the ecological impacts
of contamination. Candidates with expertise in urban stormwater
management, watersheds, or wetlands are of particular interest. The
individual is expected to use a combination of field-based data
collection and modeling approaches to quantify ecohydrologic impacts of
human development. Mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students and
securing external funding are expected. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in
a relevant science or engineering discipline, and will be expected to
teach courses for majors in Geology and Environmental Science.
