Ph.D. Graduate Assistantship in Atmospheric Remote Sensing!

 

A PhD Assistantship is available in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). The assistantship provides competitive monthly stipend, tuition and health benefits.

The successful applicant will work on a NASA funded project in collaboration with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The student will manage his/her research project and work closely with the group members and JPL collaborators on satellite remote sensing data (including GPS radio occultation and cloud measurements) to investigate the atmospheric boundary layer dynamic process.

Applicants should have a BS degree in Atmospheric Sciences or similar disciplines. Preference will be given to applicants with a Master Degree in Atmospheric Sciences. Strong physics and math background, effectively communication orally and in writing and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment is essential. Experience on satellite remote sensing data is not required.
