Post-Doc: Integrated Assessment Modeling
Vermont EPSCoR Program, University of Vermont

A two-year Post-Doctoral Research Associate position (with a possible
extension to the third year) is available at the University of Vermont as
part of an NSF-funded research program on adaptation to climate change in
the Lake Champlain Basin. We seek a post-doctoral associate with expertise
in integrated modeling and computer programming expertise (preferred C,
JAVA or PERL). The postdoctoral associate will work within an
interdisciplinary team of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, as
well as with stakeholders, to develop an integrated assessment model to
address research questions about adaptation to climate change. Additional

Qualifications: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and strong computer
programming and communication skills are essential. Experience or interest
in developing integrated models of coupled human-natural systems and
working in an interdisciplinary setting are also desired.
Individuals selected will be expected to interact substantially with
researchers in each of the core areas of the project. Competitive salary
