The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies (GES) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will soon open a one-year, non-tenure-track position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science to begin August, 2013. This is a replacement position that may be followed with a tenure-track search during 2014-15. The candidate should be able to teach Introduction to GIS and advanced GIS courses such as internet GIS, programming, database design, or geovisualization. Prior to a full search, GES faculty would like to meet any interested candidates at the April AAG conference in Los Angeles. Please contact John Harner at jharner at uccs.edu<mailto:jharner at uccs.edu> or Cerian Gibbes at cgibbes at uccs.edu<mailto:cgibbes at uccs.edu> to set up a time for a short, informal interview for the position.
