<span class="dib">Claire and Scott met in Boulder and made some progress on the Eclipse Megamovie, including great conversation with Alisdair, Jack, and Hazel, about how to develop algorithms for the technical aspects of getting the eclipse movie into a movie.
Jack suggested putting this on 'gifhub?' to see if people might make suggestions or write code to help us make this happen. This is done regularly and is quite reasonable to do. Scott is working on writing a blurb about this. If we announce to the world we
need help with this, then we are sharing out our idea. Leaves us a bit open to having the project taken by one of the citizen science organizations. So we'll start with doing chunks of the code. The language that we should write this in is python. It speaks
to databases more efficiently. If we expect thousands of photos in a short period of time, a database will be essential. Jay submitted a published paper about doing this type of work. One of the contributors to that paper is based here in Berkeley. He now
works for Google. The list of participants is on the website and he was a 'contributor.' He was in the computer science department/astronomy department (maybe did his Ph.D. here.) Hazel will look into that: John Baron. How about using a Flickr database? Getting
other smart people involved is a great idea. Maybe we can get them involved in a new way.

<span class="dib">Consider Dan's experience with stardust@home and working with the public. Maybe some good tips to consider earlier than later.</span><br>

<span class="dib">Do we need the help of SETI@home to crunch the data for this 'one off' once we have the software. This software is not going to be developed overnight. When the crunch comes, it is going to have to be tested many times before it gets implemented.
