hi all -

colorado is lovely, but it's too far from the ocean.  to remedy this
i'm beginning a campaign to convince the rest of the DART
development team to relocate to a large boat (like noah's ark),
and sail around the world while we continue DART development.

in the spirit of authenticity, we would be relying on carrier pigeons
or doves for communication with the outside world, so your support
requests might take a bit longer to answer than usual.   we would
be willing to take ocean observations, which we would convert to
obs_seq format for inclusion in your latest assimilations.

you are all invited to join me, especially if you have any boat-building
experience!
