<pre>same default behavior as before, but lots more detail at the top of the source file about the options and settings; added several compile-time options, e.g. set the R4/R8 real size with a single #define, handle files written by a DART compiled with the gfortran compiler (the binary files are not immediately compatible with other compilers) and allow the use of the converter on the same machine as the data was written before you move it to the other architecture</pre>
