Courses are provided by the ASA to bring low-cost, local courses to
Chapters.&nbsp; The Traveling Course is intended as a service to Chapters, and
to assist them in providing workshops for members, and developing programs and
outreach.&nbsp; The courses are awarded according to geographical proximity to
help keep the travel cost low with special consideration given to smaller

wide-ranging emphases, from reaching out to the K-12 system to enhancing

diversity in our profession. The 2009 ASA budget again includes funding to
support&nbsp;these Member Initiatives. ASA hopes you will consider
participating in this activity and will think of a project that has the

- I believe this could be possible since student membership is only $10 for ASA
