Hello,

At the end of the fall meeting, Chris Nelson went from being the
Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of the ASA's president-elect to being our chapter
president.  I have been chapter president for several years and I have
really enjoyed it.  We have definitely made more plans than activities,
but such is life.  I am not going anywhere and I will continue to be
active in the chapter.   I would like to take this opportunity to thank
people who have been chapter officers over the last several years.  These
people include Nels Grevstad, Shahar Boneh, Deb Hall, Ryan Elmore, Tressa
Fowler and Karen Kafadar.  I hope Chris has fun being president.  It is a
fun job with lots of opportunities and lots of nice people to work with.

Chris has lived in Colorado for the past 10 years and is currently an
operations manager at Qwest Communications. He also teaches statistics as an
adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver.  Chris has a Ph.D. in
Quantitative Research Methods from the University of Denver, M.A. in
Economics from Old Dominion University, and B.A. in Computer Science from
