[Cosmic_announce] Problems with COSMIC-1 FM1?

Good morning all,

Given that it has now been nearly two months without data from COSMIC-1 FM1 I am wondering what are the prospects for this data returning?  FM1 has had long outages in the past and come back, so perhaps it is not yet the end?

Hi Neill and Herve:

FM1 has not been contacted for a week or so due to a failed battery.  NSPO in Taiwan is still attempting to contact it.

At the Met Office we haven’t received any data from COSMIC-1 FM1 for the past week.  Can anyone tell me what’s happening with the satellite?
