open positions in Education and Outreach at UNAVCO. UNAVCO, a
non-profit, membership-governed consortium, supports and promotes Earth
science by advancing high-precision techniques for the measurement and
understanding of Earth's deformation. Three of these positions are for
'experts' in the science of the UNAVCO community. </font></div>

<div><font face="Arial">The PBO Siting Outreach and the EarthScope
E&O Specialist positions are funded through the installation phase
of EarthScope, fall 2008. Hence, they might be very attractive as a
post doctoral position, a faculty sabbatical, or a one-year,
just-out-of-school position before deciding on the next step in a
career. Science content is the rate-determining factor in creating new
materials for Education and Outreach, for articles that reach the
public, and many other products. Knowing the science content and
having a desire to do some writing for various audiences, to interact
with faculty to make this science more broadly accessible, and to help
EarthScope PI's , UNAVCO members,and UNAVCO/EarthScope staff move
forward in education and outreach could be just what you are looking
