Dear Colleagues,<br>
<br>
We would like to draw your attention to the <b>
Session C2.1 "The Physics and Dynamics of the Middle Atmosphere
from Mid to High Latitudes"</b> at the 43rd COSPAR Assembly in
Sidney, Australia, during August 15-22, 2020. The Session
description can be found here
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://www.cospar-assembly.org/admin/session_cospar.php?session=858">https://www.cospar-assembly.org/admin/session_cospar.php?session=858</a>
and is summarized below:<br>
<br>
<i>Physical and chemical processes in the Mesosphere and Lower
Thermosphere (MLT) lead to the occurrence of layered phenomena
like Polar Mesospheric Clouds (PMC), Polar Mesosphere Summer
Echoes (PMSE), Winter Echoes (PMWE), meteoric metal layers, dust
and ion layers, airglow and mesospheric inversion layers. These
layers are frequently used as tracers for dynamical processes in
the MLT. Furthermore, they give insight into coupling processes
from below and above on scales from seconds to decades. This
includes but is not limited to gravity wave generation,
propagation and dissipation in the middle atmosphere. The purpose
of the session is to discuss the physics, dynamics and chemistry
of the MLT through papers describing observations, laboratory
studies and modeling.</i><br>
<br>
Please consider submitting an abstract for this session C2.1 by
February 14, 2020. Abstracts can be submitted using the following

<br>
Looking forward to see you in Sidney.<br>
