The SWAMI objectives related to geomagnetic indices are:</div><div class=""><ul class=""><li class="">Develop and evaluate improved geomagnetic indices;</li><li class="">Use these improved geomagnetic indices and index predictions as input for the two atmosphere models Unified Model (UM) and Drag Temperature Model (DTM);</li><li class="">Make the improved geomagnetic indices available to the space weather community.</li></ul></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Within SWAMI, an improved geomagnetic index, Hp indices (Hp90, Hp60 and Hp30), is developed which will be based on algorithms of the existing 3-hourly Kp and ap indices but will be of higher temporal resolution.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">SWAMI consortium thanks you very much for your valuable contribution.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Sincerely yours,</div><div class="">Guram Kervalishvili</div><div class="">
