is driven primarily by solar and geomagnetic activity. Therefore there exists a strong coupling between<o:p></o:p></p>

the physical processes on the Sun and Earth’s ionosphere. The state of the ionosphere is characterized<o:p></o:p></p>

by a wide range of empicial and physics-based models as well as remote and in situ observations. This<o:p></o:p></p>

session is aimed at exploring recent advances in models, and predictive capability of the ionosphere<o:p></o:p></p>

dealing with space weather impacts on TEC, scintillation, structures impacting satellite navigation.<o:p></o:p></p>

This session will also examine advances in forecasting the drivers of the ionosphere such as solar EUV,<o:p></o:p></p>
