Dear CEDAR community:  The Department of Electrical Engineering at the
University of Washington plans to fill multiple tenure-track faculty
positions in the coming year.  If you are interested, please do apply; and

The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Washington
invites applications for multiple positions at the level of tenure-track
junior faculty in the fields of electrical and computer engineering. We are
looking for excellent candidates in the areas of energy systems, big
physical data analytics, biomedical systems, Internet of Things, hardware
platforms, robotics and autonomous systems. Highest priority, however, will
be given to exceptional candidates regardless of the specific areas listed

The University of Washington (UW) was ranked #1 in innovation by Thompson
Reuters in 2015-2016 and the EE department has been leading the innovation
within the university. The University of Washington was also ranked # 11 by
US NEWS worldwide and the US NEWS ranked the EE department at # 18 for the
2015-2016 period. The UW is a highly collaborative environment across the
departments and colleges and the electrical engineering department has
attracted outstanding faculty members with strong collaborative bent.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree, demonstrated the ability to perform
high quality research and have the ability to teach both graduate and
undergraduate courses in the department. All successful candidates are
expected to establish a very strong research program,  supervising graduate
students and engage in high quality teaching at all levels.
