Invitation to the CEDAR-GEM Challenge Session at 2014 CEDAR- Tuesday, June 24th at 2014 CEDAR
We would like to invite you to participate in the GEM-CEDAR Challenge Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 24th 2014, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at 2014 CEDAR Workshop.
The CEDAR- GEM Modeling Challenge (http://ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov/challenges/GEM-CEDAR/) focuses on various scientific and operational aspects of the performance of magnetosphere and ionosphere models and addresses challenges of model data comparisons and metrics studies.
This year, we will discuss
1. Quantifying storm impact on TEC

  * possible ways to quantify storm effects on TEC
2. Quantifying storm impact on neutral density

  * quantifying storm effects using orbital averaged density
  * challenges in modeling neutral density at high altitudes ( > 600km)
3. Model data comparison for high inclination and polar orbiting satellite (e.g., ISS FPMU Ne and Te data, and DMSP Poynting flux data)
4. Auroral boundaries validation study
5. Swapping tools of high latitude drivers
Please let us know if you would like to present your thoughts:
