Unique opportunity to conduct remote sensing research from the International Space Station (LOI due 21 Feb 2014)

The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking to identify projects within the field of remote sensing. CASIS is an organization selected by Congress to be the sole manager of the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory. CASIS is soliciting both experienced and new-to-space investigators for the development and deployment for testing (up to 90 days) of sensors or instrumentation for remote sensing or for the utilization of existing hardware for remote sensing on the ISS U.S. National Laboratory. Proposals should seek to use the National Lab for studies of Earth, Earth's atmosphere, and astronomy and planetary science with the goal of benefitting life on Earth. CASIS will support this process through grant funding, facilitation of service-provider interactions and flight coordination to and from the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory.

NOTE: Letters of Intent (required) are due 21 February, 2014 with proposals due 27 March, 2014.
