(1) Registration open for joint CEDAR-GEM Workshop 26 June - 01 July, Santa Fe, NM.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
From Barbara Emery (emery at ucar.edu).

The registration site for the joint 2011 CEDAR-GEM Workshop in Santa Fe,
NM is linked at http://cedarweb.hao.ucar.edu/wiki/index.php/2011_Workshop:Main
with links to the GEM site. Because the registration fees for both
CEDAR and GEM are the same, there are some changes from previous years.
This year, all student registration fees are $100, while the regular
registration is $375, with 1 and 2-day options. Sunday 26 June is the
Student Workshop, and this year is only open to student participants.

The CEDAR-GEM jointly organized workshops are in place on the agenda,
and the CEDAR workshops will appear on the agenda this week. Of course,
all workshops are open to both GEM and CEDAR participants.

Boulder, CO.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
From Terry Onsager <Terry.Onsager at noaa.gov>.

The 2011 Space Weather Workshop will be held April 26 - 29, in Boulder,
Colorado. This meeting will bring together the customer, forecaster, vendor,
and research communities to focus on the impacts of space weather, on
forecasting techniques, and on recent scientific advances in specifying and
predicting conditions in the space environment. The program will highlight space
weather impacts in several areas, including ionospheric disturbances,
geomagnetic storms and their solar drivers, radiation belts, and solar energetic
particles. Representatives from industries impacted by space weather will be
invited to attend, including those from commercial airline, electric power,
satellite operations, and navigation/communication industries. Space Weather
Workshop 2011 is co-sponsored by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, the
NSF Division of Atmospheric Sciences, the NASA Heliophysics Division, and the
NASA Space Radiation Analysis Group. Registration, the agenda, abstracts, and
participants are posted on our web site: http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/sww
